VoicePrint
VoicePrint is the world’s largest 24-hour broadcast
reading service. It was established in 1990 as a division of The
National Broadcast Reading Service Inc. (NBRS). The service involves more
than 800 volunteers recording verbatim stories taken from hundreds of Canadian
newspapers and magazines. VoicePrint’s mandate is access
to media by those who are blind or with diminished vision and other reading
impairments.
While VoicePrint is accessible on cable TV audio only to
Canadians, it is also available world-wide on the internet. The website is
http://www.voiceprintcanada.com.
